Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey is facing threats and hateful messages on social media after missing a potential winning field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and lineman Charles Leno Jr. had a blunt message for fans who were responsible for the posts.
Leno, whose Bears lost 16-15 to the Eagles on Sunday night, was asked in his postgame interview about the comments, and he didn’t mince any words.
“What would my message be? F--- you,” he said. “You’re not in our position. You don’t know how hard this s--- is.”
Parkey’s potential game-winner hit off the upright and the crossbar before settling onto the Soldier Field turf, sending the Bears into the offseason on a downer note.
