That’s because the team is among the most profitable sports franchises in America, according to a new ranking issued by Forbes Magazine. In the rankings, the Bears currently sit in the 18th position, raking in $86 million worth of profits last year.
The Bears were the lone Chicago team to appear in the Top 20 list, joining numerous NFL teams and international soccer clubs in the rankings.
Last September, it was revealed that the Bears were worth an estimated $2.45 billion, according to Forbes. That number puts them as the eighth-most valuable franchise in the NFL, with the Dallas Cowboys sitting in the top spot at a staggering $4 billion.
