Adrian Amos Fined for Hit on Zach Ertz

Amos received the second-largest fine levied to a Bears player this season

Chicago Bears safety Adrian Amos has received a significant fine for his hit on Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz during last week’s NFC Wild Card Game at Soldier Field.

Amos, who was flagged for 15 yards on the play, was fined $26,739 for the hit, according to the NFL Network.

The fine was the first levied against Amos during the 2018 season, and was the second-largest fine issued to a Bears player this season, following the $33,425 fine that Akiem Hicks got for making contact with an official during a Week 4 game against the Buccaneers.

Another fine was issued for an incident stemming from the game, as Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett was fined $10,026 for punching Bears lineman Kyle Long during a fracas.
