Chicago Bears TE Adam Shaheen Leaves Game With Injury

Shaheen is viewed as one of the team's primary red zone threats

Chicago Bears tight end Adam Shaheen was carted off the field during the team's preseason game against the Denver Broncos on Saturday night.

Shaheen, who is looking to establish himself as one of the primary options in the red zone in Matt Nagy's new offense, suffered a right ankle injury and is doubtful to return to the contest, the Bears said.

The injury occurred on the Bears' first drive when Shaheen made a catch along the sidelines and was hit low on the play. He was carted off the field and did not return.
