The Chicago Auto Show kicks off this weekend, bringing some of the newest trends and technologies in the auto industry to the city.
The hit event returns to McCormick Place for eight days beginning Saturday, marking the largest auto show in the nation.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day, with the exception of Feb. 18, which will end at 8 p.m.
Already this year, Ford Motor Company has announced a $1 billion investment into Chicago-area assembly plants, which will create 500 new jobs in the coming years.
And some of the world's biggest auto companies have brought their coolest concept cars to the scene.
“We know there’s over a million people that come to this show, and we wanted to give people the global debut of this vehicle,” said Casey Griffin with Subaru, which is rolling out the Legacy 2019 at the show. “And you know- it’s made right next door in Indiana.”
Also making a debut is Volkwagen’s Jetta GLI, described as a sedan-shaped brother to the Golf GTI.
A new test track at the show this year, comes from Kia, which aims to show off the largest vehicle it has ever made - the Telluride.

There will also be luxury vehicles on the showroom floor for those looking to hop in the driver’s seat.
