The Chicago area could see showers and thunderstorms on Saturday night as a front moves through the area.
Thunderstorms are currently popping up in northern counties, including Lake and northern Cook County, and the storms could bring periods of heavy rain and winds of up to 40 MPH, according to the NBC 5 Storm Team.
Areas south of the city could also be impacted by showers and thunderstorms, with storms developing near southern Kankakee County and into Iroquois County on Saturday night.
