Chicago-Area Snow Totals

The Chicago area saw a burst of late-winter snow Wednesday afternoon and evening with many cities blanketed by several inches of snow overnight.

Some areas could see even more snow by the end of the day Thursday with Lake Effect Snow Warnings in effect for parts of the Chicago metro area.

For now, here’s the latest look at some of the snow totals recorded for this system so far, according to the National Weather Service.

  • Midway Airport: 6.4 inches as of 1:50 p.m.
  • O’Hare Airport: 5.7 inches of as 12 p.m.
  • Rockford Airport: 2.2 inches as of 12 p.m.
  • Romeoville: 3.1 inches as of 12:00 p.m.
  • Chicago (West Side at Hamlin and Division): 8 inches as of 9:30 a.m.
  • Chicago (Wrigleyville): 5.1 inches as of 9:30 a.m.
  • Worth: 6 inches as of 8:15 a.m.
  • Gurnee: 4 inches as of 7:45 a.m.
  • Elgin: 2.2 inches as of 7:30 a.m.
  • South Holland: 7 inches as of 7:15 a.m.
  • Northbrook: 3.8 inches as of 7 a.m.
  • Park Forest: 6 inches as of 7 a.m.
  • Chicago Ridge: 5 inches as of 7 a.m.
  • Libertyville: 2.4 inches as of 7 a.m.
  • Joliet: 3 inches as of 6 a.m.
  • DeKalb: 2.5 inches as of 11:45 p.m.
  • LaGrange: 3 inches as of 11:40 p.m.
  • Beach Park: 2.7 inches as of 11:30 p.m.
  • Palos Park: 2 inches as of 11:30 p.m.
  • Southwest Aurora: 2 inches as of 11:30 p.m.
