Several Chicago-Area Museums to Offer Free Admission on ‘Museum Day'

In order to get into the participating museums for free, patrons must reserve a ticket online

A handful of museums in Chicago and the suburbs will open their doors to patrons free of charge for "Museum Day" on Sept. 26.

Thousands of museums across the country will participate in the Smithsonian magazine's "Museum Day Live!" by waiving admission costs and encouraging residents to take advantage of the museums around them.

In order to get into the participating museums for free, patrons must reserve a ticket online.
