After weather conditions delayed the start of the 58th Annual Chicago Air and Water Show on Saturday, Sunday's festivities took place smoothly and just as planned.
Free to the public, the official show took place Saturday and Sunday on Lake Michigan from Fullerton to Oak Street. North Avenue Beach served as the center of the show, which ran from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
On Saturday, the show was delayed for just over an hour because of storms, and former Chicago Bear Charles 'Peanut' Tillman, who was slated to open the show, was rescheduled for Sunday.
Tillman participated in a tandem jump with the Golden Knights on Sunday morning.
"My adrenaline was pumping, my heart was beating like a lab rat," Tillman said following the jump. "Nothing compares to that. The adrenaline and excitement level is amazing."
Participants in the show this year included the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights and the U.S. Navy Parachute Team Leap Frogs.
