Chicago Air and Water Show Announces 2015 Headliners

The event is scheduled for Aug. 15 and 16

The 57th Annual Chicago Air and Water Show will take to city skies in August and this year’s event will feature some new and traditional performers.

The show headliners include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights and the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs. It will also mark the debut of the Breitling Jet Team, which will perform in Chicago for the first time during their debut tour of the United States.

The seven-plane team from France is expected to fly L-39 C Albatros jets that can reach speeds of up to 565 mph.

The popular lakefront event will also feature military and civilian aerial demonstration teams with daredevil pilots.

Th event is free and will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 15 and 16 from Fullerton to Oak Street, with North Avenue Beach serving as the show center.
