A chemical fire was reported at the US Chrome Corporation of Illinois in rural Boone County late Monday morning.
Crews from multiple fire departments were called to the scene just before noon, according to NBC's Rockford affiliate WREX. The fire was reported at 305 Herbert Rd. near Kingston, the station reported.
