Chicago-Area Teen Preps for Rockette Training

A teenager from suburban Chicago is preparing to attend training with the Rockettes in New York.

Sixteen-year-old Lili Nash of Channahon has wanted to be member of the famous dance line at Radio City Music Hall ever since her parents took her to see a show 12 years ago.

The upcoming training program, called the Rockettes Intensive, will be the Nash's second. She first tried out for program when she was first eligible, at age 14, but didn't make it.

Nash, a student at Benet Academy in Lisle and a dance teacher at the Yorkville Performing Arts Center, didn't let that stop her. A year later she was one of about 1,000 girls worldwide accepted into the program, the Beacon News reported.

She can try out for the full Rockettes when she's 18 and said being accepted to the troupe "would literally mean the world to me" and "would definitely be a dream come true."
