A car was pinned into a barrier wall Friday morning after it collided with a flatbed tow truck on the southbound Tri-State Tollway.
The crash happened before 6 a.m. near Kedzie Avenue, police said. Video of the scene showed the car on its side, pinned into the wall.
The driver of the car had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
The Tri-State was completely blocked at one point and as of 7 a.m. still saw a mile delay.
The condition of the tow truck driver is not known.
