A house in southwest suburban Lockport was severely damaged after a car crashed into it early Sunday morning.
The vehicle crashed into a home in the 2000 block of East Street shortly after 3 a.m., according to Lockport Battalion Chief Frank Blaskey.
Nobody was inside the home during the crash, but the impact caused substantial damage, Blaskey said.
The driver was removed from the car and transported to Silver Cross Hospital.
Police continue to investigate the circumstancs of the crash.
