A silver sedan crashed into a patio near a bustling Starbucks on Michigan Avenue Tuesday afternoon sending the driver to the hospital.
A witness said he was sitting in the front window of the coffee shop, on Michigan Avenue near Adams Street, when a woman drove onto the sidewalk and heard a loud boom sometime after 1 p.m.
The car made slight contact with the building.
The witness said the driver was not seriously hurt and no one else appeared to be injured.
Chicago police did not immediately respond to request for comment.
