A call of a bomb threat during Wednesday’s evening rush temporarily shut down Chicago Transit Authority trains in the South Loop.

Authorities received a call of a possible bomb threat about 6:09 p.m. at the CTA station in the 1100 block of South State Street, Chicago police said.

Orange Line, Green Line and southbound Red Line trains were halted about 6 p.m. at Roosevelt due to police activity, according to the CTA.

The CTA announced at 6:45 p.m. that trains were running with residual delays.

A police spokesperson said the department was still unsure if the bomb threat was bona fide.
