The Chicago Bears will once again be without one of their best offensive linemen on Sunday afternoon in Kansas City, as Jermon Bushrod has been ruled out of the game with a concussion.
Bushrod also missed last week’s victory over the Raiders with the injury, which he suffered in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks. He will likely be replaced in the lineup by second-year tackle Charles Leno, Jr., who also started at left tackle against the Raiders.
No other Bears players were officially ruled out of Sunday’s game, but it seems unlikely at this point that safety Antrel Rolle will play. He is listed as doubtful on the Bears’ injury report as he continues to deal with an ankle issue.
The Bears could also be without wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal for Sunday’s game, as neither player participated in the session of practice open to the media. They both were limited participants in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, and both have been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
Quarterback Jay Cutler is also listed as questionable as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury, as is back-up quarterback Jimmy Clausen. Right tackle Kyle Long is also questionable for the game, as are cornerback Alan Ball, nose tackle Jeremiah Ratliff, and outside linebacker Pernell McPhee.
Left guard Patrick Omameh is also questionable for Sunday’s game, and if he’s unable to go, then the Bears will likely shift Matt Slauson back to his usual guard position and insert rookie center Hroniss Grasu into the lineup for his first career NFL start.
Punter Pat O’Donnell rounds out the injury report, as he’s been listed as probable to play on Sunday after missing Week 4 with a knee injury.
