Bulls Finalize Training Camp Roster

As two-a-day practices begin on Saturday, the Bulls bring their training camp roster to 18

The Chicago Bulls announced their final training camp roster on Friday with the signing of free agents Patrick Christopher, Mike James, Dahntay Jones, Kalin Lucas, Dexter Pittman and D.J. White.

Christopher spent last season with Besiktas of the Turkish Basketball League where he averaged 11.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 26 games. James is an 11-year veteran who has spent time with the Bulls before. Last season he appeared in 45 games with the Dallas Mavericks averaging 6.1 points and 3.1 assists per game.

Jones, known throughout the league as an above-average perimeter defender, is a 10-year veteran in the NBA. He split time with the Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks last season, appearing in 78 games and averaging 3.4 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.

Lucas, a Michigan State alum, also played in the Turkish Basketball League last season with Banvit where he averaged 9.0 points, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while Pittman spent last season with the Miami Heat and Memphis Grizzlies, he only appeared in 11 games in 2012-13.

White, the former Indiana Hoosiers star, spent part of last season with the Boston Celtics and in the Chinese Basketball Association with the Shanghai Sharks. In Shanghai, White averaged 21.6 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. And with the Celtics, he had averages of 2.4 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.

These additions bring the Bulls training camp roster to 18, with two-a-day practices beginning on Saturday.
