Buckingham Fountain Set to Open This Weekend

With the mercury finally rising and the sun making its presence felt in Chicago, it will soon be time for one of the city’s favorite rites of summer.

On Sunday afternoon, the famous Buckingham Fountain will be switched on for the first time this year. The event will be part of the Switch on Summer celebration, which is sponsored by ComEd and the Chicago Park District.
