Brief Warm-Up to Bring Relief to Chicago Area This Week

Hey Chicago, it’s cold.

But if you’re looking for a bright spot on this cloudy day, things are about to get a bit warmer.

Despite brutally cold wind chills early Wednesday morning, temperatures are set to reach into the low-20s by the late afternoon hours. Conditions will continue to warm at the end of the week, with Thursday’s highs reaching into the upper-30s and Friday’s highs possibly stretching into the low-40s.

There is a chance for rain and some snow Friday and again Saturday, when temps return to the 20s.

Saturday and Sunday could see some Lake Effect snow showers in the Michiana snow belts.

Highs dip back into the teens Sunday where they will stay through the start of the work week.
