Boyfriend Charged After Woman's Body Found at Suburban Golf Course

Johnanthan Condrey, 44, has been charged with first degree murder, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office

A man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found at a suburban golf course on Thursday, according to police.

Johnanthan Condrey, 44, of the 11500 block of West Grand Avenue, has been charged with first degree murder, the Cook County Sheriff's office said in a release.

Around 8:15 a.m., an employee of the Bensenville Park District discovered the body of a 37-year-old woman near the entrance of the White Pines Golf Course, located in the 500 block of West Jefferson Street.

The woman, who has not been identified pending notification of her family, died of a stab wound to the back, autopsy results show. During their investigation, authorities discovered that she was in an argument with Condrey, who officials said was her boyfriend, at their home around 5 a.m. that morning.

She was fatally stabbed during the altercation, authorities said, and her body was driven to the golf course and left there.

“We see them every day and we seen them last night, so that was crazy, my God,” neighbor Mario Vega said Friday, adding that the couple had just moved to the area about six months ago. “They were very quiet.”

Two people were taken into custody Friday, but the second man was released without charges, according to the sheriff's office.

Condrey was scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing on Saturday, officials said.
