Boy, 15, Charged in South Side Homicide

The teen shot an 18-year-old in the neck Saturday night, killing him

A 15-year-old boy was charged in the shooting death of an 18-year-old man on Saturday.

The teenager is accused of shooting the 18-year-old Bernard Pippen, of the 11000 block of South State, in the neck in the 9600 block of South Green Street in the South Side Washington Heights neighborhood. The incident happened Saturday at about 7 p.m., according to police.

Pippen was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday night.

The teenager was arrested Sunday and charged with a felony count of first-degree murder.

He is expected to appear in bond court on Monday.
