‘Bottled Blonde Chicago' Reopens After State Appeals Court Ruling

The business first opened in 2015

A River North bar and nightclub at the center of controversy is back open for business.

'Bottled Blonde Chicago' was closed this past Wednesday by the city following years of legal battles.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the bar opened Friday by court order, stating that "the city shall not take any action to enforce the revocation of Bottled Blonde's licenses and shall not bar the business from resuming its operations. Bottled Blonde must also leave a cash bond of $100,000 that it previously posted with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County."

The bar has previously faced a lot of criticism for an alleged racist dress code and complaints about unruly behavior outside the bar.

The business located at 504 N Wells St., first opened in 2015.
