$3 Million Bond in Walgreens Stabbing

A man accused of stabbing three people inside a Gage Park Walgreens is being held Wednesday on $3 million bond.

Daniel Lopez, 21, was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery for allegedly stabbing three people, including a customer who was critically injured, according to The Chicago Tribune.

Lopez is accused of walking into the store in the 5500 block of South Kedzie Avenue around 1 a.m. on Tuesday and randomly stabbing a male employee and two female customers, according to Chicago police.

Police said one of the women was stabbed in the breast, the other in the abdomen, thigh and arms. The man suffered a wound to the hand.

Crews rushed all victims to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Officers arrested the suspect after they saw several people running out of the store, police said.
