Body Pulled From Chicago River in Little Village

The Chicago Marine Unit and Chicago Fire Dept. removed the body this morning

South Branch Chicago River

A body was pulled from the South Branch of the Chicago River in Little Village.

About 10:00 a.m Chicago police’s Marine Unit received calls of a body in the water of the South Branch of Chicago River near the 3300 block of South Kedzie Avenue, Chicago police said.

CPD’s Marine Unit and Chicago fire officials are working to remove the body from the river.

Police describe the man as being a 40-year-old Black man, who was wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans and red hi-top Adidas sneakers.

CPD’s Marine Unit are investigating.
