Blue Line Stalled For Report of Smoke

Regular service has resumed after the Belmont station was temporarily evacuated

Reports of smoke odors in the Blue Line Belmont station temporarily shut off power between California and Montrose Friday morning.

The station was evacuated as a precaution, and firefighters and crews arrived to walk the tracks and investigate the report.

They pinpointed the source of the odor, but no smoke was found.

A bus shuttle is still in place from California to Montrose to transport riders. Delays are expected.

No injuries were reported.
