Blackhawks Recall Darling, Nordstrom from Rockford Sunday

Hawks send down Hartman, Raanta in corresponding moves

After Sunday’s debacle against the Boston Bruins, the Chicago Blackhawks made a couple of roster moves, bringing up forward Joakim Nordstrom and goaltender Scott Darling from the Rockford IceHogs.

To clear room on the roster for those two players, the team sent down forward Ryan Hartman and goaltender Antti Raanta.

Nordstrom has played in 24 games with the Blackhawks this season, picking up two assists and playing mostly fourth line minutes. He also has nine goals and seven assists in 23 games with the IceHogs, where he’s currently serving as the team’s captain.

As for Darling, he has played in seven games so far this season for the Blackhawks, putting up a 5-2-0 record, a 1.97 GAA, and a .937 save percentage. He has a 14-8-2 record with the IceHogs to go along with two shutouts.

The Blackhawks may have to make another move depending on how serious Johnny Oduya’s upper-body injury is, but they will have until Tuesday to do so, as they take on the Florida Panthers in the final game of their eight-game homestand.
