Blackhawks Lose in Shootout

A valiant comeback effort by the Blackhawks was squashed in overtime Monday night.

The Hawks managed to overcome a three-goal deficit in regulation to force overtime, but the Coyotes won the shootout, earning a 4-3 win.

Phoenix jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the second period, but the Hawks came back to tie the game in regulation, led by two goals by Jonathan Toews and another by Patrick Kane.

Starting goalie Corey Crawford was replaced by backup Ray Emery after giving up the three Phoenix goals.

The overtime loss snaps the Hawks' two game winning streak
