The Chicago Blackhawks will hold their annual fan convention over the weekend, and while star players like Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane will be in attendance, several big names will not be at the Chicago Hilton.
The team released the list of participants at this year’s convention, including Kane and Toews and new acquisitions like Patrick Sharp and Brandon Saad. Artem Anisimov and Ryan Hartman will also be in attendance when the convention gets underway on Friday night.
Two of the team’s key defensemen will not be there however, as Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook will not be in Chicago for the weekend event. Goaltender Corey Crawford will also not be in attendance for the opening ceremonies on Friday night, according to a list released by the team.
Young stars like Alex DeBrincat and Nick Schmaltz will be there however, and tickets are still available according to the Blackhawks’ website.
The alumni list includes greats like Bobby Hull, Denis Savard, and Tony Esposito, and recently retired defenseman Brian Campbell will also be in attendance.
The convention will get underway on Friday afternoon with the opening ceremony, and panels and events will continue throughout the weekend.
