Blackhawks Announce Roster for Stadium Series Alumni Game

Roenick, Savard will both participate in the festivities in Minnesota next winter

The Chicago Blackhawks have played in three outdoor games since the NHL began holding the events back in 2003, but when they take the ice against the Minnesota Wild in February 2016, they will be doing something they haven’t done: participating in an alumni game at the outdoor venue.

The Blackhawks will bring a roster full of legends to the game, which will be contested against team with players from both the Wild and the Minnesota North Stars, who moved to Dallas in 1992. The Blackhawks will have several Hall of Fame players on their roster, including Denis Savard, and they will be coached by Tony Esposito and Pat Foley.

Here are the Blackhawks players that will be representing them at the game, which will take place on the day before the Stadium Series tilt with the Wild.

Forwards: Dave Christian, Denis Cyr, Eric Daze, Reggie Kerr, Cliff Koroll, Dave Mackey, Peter Marsh, Grant Mulvey, Troy Murray, Brian Noonan, Eddie Olczyk, Jeremy Roenick, Denis Savard, Reid Simpson

Defensemen: Adrian Aucoin, Ed Belfour, Steve Konroyd, Jack O’Callahan, Phill Russell

Goaltenders: Murray Bannerman, Jimmy Waite

The Minnesota roster has several notable players on it, including legendary North Stars players like Mike Modano and Dino Ciccarelli, and also features a couple of big names from the history of the Wild, with Andrew Brunette headlining that group.
