Billy Joel Announces Record-Setting Return to Wrigley Field

This year's Wrigley Field concert lineup just keeps getting better.

Legendary musician Billy Joel will return to Chicago once again this fall for a record-setting ballpark performance, Live Nation announced Monday.

The Grammy Award-winning Hall of Fame musician is scheduled to perform at Wrigley Field on Sept. 7, the entertainment company said in a statement.

The upcoming concert will mark the Piano Man's fifth year in a row playing at the Friendly Confines - making him the first to accomplish that feat.

Joel has sold out the past four years at Wrigley Field, according to Live Nation, and has sold more than 165,000 tickets, more than any other artist, to the ballpark performances.

Citi cardmembers will have access to a special pre-sale for the September show beginning Jan. 24 at 10 a.m., Live Nation said.

Tickets for the general public were scheduled to go on sale Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. via Cubs.com/BillyJoel.
