NBC Seeks Next ‘Biggest Loser'

Chicago is one of 11 cities around the country that'll be hosting auditions for the show's 15th season

Hundreds auditioned Saturday in Chicago for the upcoming season of NBC's hit reality TV show, "The Biggest Loser."

Chicago is one of 11 cities around the country hosting auditions for the show's 15th season.

Auditions were to be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Planet Fitness at 3120 N. Pulaski Road.

Planet Fitness General Manager Michelle Morrow said the first person to audition arrived Friday night around 7:30 p.m. and camped outside of the building.

Tryouts will also be held in Charleston, Los Angeles, Oklahoma City Salt Lake City, Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, Dallas, Philadelphia and Phoenix.

Casting producers say they're looking for people with charisma and a desire to forever change their lives. Those who have at least 80 pounds to lose are encouraged to apply for the competition, which results in one person winning a $250,000 grand prize.

Previous casting calls in the Chicago area for the show have brought out hundreds of people.

A Wheeling woman, Danni Allen, last month won the top prize after shedding 121 pounds. She said the competition ended up being about more than just losing weight.

"I feel whole again and it just took clearing out all that mental stuff that I had going on to get to this place," she said after winning the competition.

Candidates need to be at least 18 years of age and legal residents of the United States.

Full instructions, pre-registration and instructions on how to submit an audition video are posted to TheBiggestLoserCasting.com.
