Bicyclist Killed on Colorado Street Was Iraq War Veteran

A bicyclist who begged for his life as a gunman fatally shot him on a street in Colorado Springs was an Army veteran who survived three tours of duty in Iraq.

Tina Myers on Tuesday recalled her husband, 35-year-old Andrew Alan Myers, as a decorated military veteran and a caring father to his two young sons. He died Saturday after the shooter gunned him down in broad daylight and then killed two women on the porch of a sober living home.

The gunman, Noah Harpham, then died in a shootout with police.

Myers says police told her that the shootings were random and that her husband didn't know his killer.

Andrew Myers grew up in Thompson, Ohio, before joining the Army, which stationed him in Germany and eventually Colorado Springs.
