Officials closed East Thorndale Avenue between Route 83 and York Road in Bensenville early Thursday morning because of a serous crash between a tractor-trailer and a passenger car.
Officials said one man was critically injured in the crash on the road which provides westsern access to O'Hare International Airport.
Officials said they expected the closure to last several hours. Devon Avenue or West Irving Park Road are alternate routes.
