The brother-sister team of Becca and Matt Hamilton are off to a rollicking start in Pyeongchang as they handily won their first game on Thursday morning.
The mixed-doubles squad defeated OAR (Olympic Athletes from Russia) team by a 9-3 margin in their opening match of Round Robin play.
The Hamilton’s racked up three points in the first end, and even after the OAR team pulled back two points in the second end, they remained in control as they scored the next four points in unanswered fashion to pull away.
After the Hamilton duo scored two points in the seventh end, the OAR team conceded the game, giving the Americans an opening victory.
Becca and Matt Hamilton aren’t done competing, as they will go up against Canada in their second match of the day, which will start at 5:05 a.m. Central time.

The duo will compete two more times on Friday, as they will take on Switzerland and South Korea as they continue round robin play.
