With their rookie mini-camp beginning on Friday, the Chicago Bears made one final move to get their 2015 draft class locked up as center Hroniss Grasu was signed to a four-year contract by the team.
Grasu’s signing means that the entire 2015 NFL Draft class is under contract for the Bears, with three players signing deals on Tuesday and first round selection Kevin White and second round pick Eddie Goldman each signing contracts on Wednesday.
Grasu will likely compete for a starting job right away for the Bears, and he could potentially play at either center or guard for the Bears, depending on the team’s needs. Will Montgomery was also brought in over the offseason to potentially replace Roberto Garza in the middle of the offensive line, and Grasu could also play guard if the Bears opt to shift Kyle Long out to right tackle this season.
We’ll likely get more answers as the mini-camp schedule unfolds, but one thing is already for certain: the offensive line will definitely have a different look when the 2015 season kicks off in September.
