The Chicago Bears gave health updates on numerous players on Monday afternoon, and they also made a roster move as they placed safety Antrel Rolle on season-ending injured reserve.

Rolle, who has missed the Bears’ last four games, suffered a sprained ligament in his knee during a non-contact practice, according to head coach John Fox. The hope had been that he could play with the injury, but the team opted to shut him down for the season instead.

To replace Rolle on the roster, the Bears have activated offensive tackle Tayo Fabuluje, who recently completed a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Fabuluje had a roster exemption that allowed the Bears to leave him off the 53-man roster, but the team has opted to activate him this week.

There is one player that Fox declined to talk about, as Kevin White’s status remains in doubt. The Bears have a 3 p.m. deadline on Tuesday to decide whether to put White on the 53-man roster, or if they’re going to shut him down for the remainder of the season.

White has been working out with the team in recent weeks, but it's unclear whether the team feels that he'll be ready to actually play this season after dealing with a fractured shin during training camp.
