Bears Interview Patriots Exec for GM Job

More interviews expected this week

The Bears could be looking toward one of the most successful organizations in the league for its next general manager.

The team announced Monday that New England Patriots director of pro personnel, Jason Licht, interviewed for the vacant job on Monday.

Licht has 16 years of experience in the league and is currently in his second stint with the Patriots, after also working with the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals.

More interviews are scheduled this week, including the Kansas City Chiefs' director of college scouting Phil Emery, the San Diego Chargers' director of player personnel Jimmy Raye and New York Giants' director of college scouting Marc Ross.

The Bears fired GM Jerry Angelo earlier this month after 12 years on the job.
