Bears Bites: Is Matt Forte a Hall of Famer?

In this Friday edition of Bears Bites, we check out the Hall of Fame candidacy of Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte, what the keys will be for the Bears as they prepare to face the Miami Dolphins, and examine just good Jeremiah Ratliff has been this season.

-We start out with Dan Durkin (@djdurkin on Twitter), who wrote up an interesting piece about the numbers that Forte has put up so far in his career. Do they make him a Pro Football Hall of Fame candidate? [CBS Chicago]

-We turn our attention back to the task at hand for the Bears Sunday as they look to win their first game on home turf this week. What will be the key to beating Miami? Bob Warja (@bobwarja) has five keys to victory. [Chicago Bears Huddle]

-On Thursday, a significant event occurred at Bears practice: the offensive line had all five starters practicing together for the first time since Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. John Mullin (@csnmoonmullin) has more. [CSN Chicago]

-Jay Cutler has taken some big hits during his time with the Bears, but just about every time he gets hit he gets back up, and he addressed that toughness this week. [Daily Herald]

-There was an interesting article this week about the amount of time that players and coaches spend on TV during NFL games, and surprisingly, Cutler was near the bottom of the list. Marc Trestman was too. [ESPN Chicago]

-The Bears were missing four of their starting linebackers on Sunday when they beat the Atlanta Falcons, and a good chunk of the credit for their strong performance has to go to linebackers coach Reggie Herring. [Chicago Sun-Times]

-Just how good has defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff been for the Bears this season? Let’s count the ways. [Chicago Tribune]

-In the Bears’ Week 6 victory over the Falcons, the Georgia Dome was so loud that a team had to use a silent snap count. No, it wasn’t the Bears that were affected by the noise. It was the Falcons, whose signals were getting drowned out by the thousands of Bears fans in attendance. [Da Windy City]

-Finally, we get a view of the Dolphins-Bears matchup from an outside perspective. [Sun-Sentinel]
