A Chicago suburb has been named among the top 20 safest cities in the US, according to a new report.
The ranking by finance website Wallethub, lists Aurora as the 16th safest city in the country.
The report looked at 182 cities across the US, including the 150 most-populated. Analysts evaluated each city based on home and community safety, financial safety and natural disaster risk, according to Wallethub.
Home and community safety included factors like presence of terrorist attacks, murders, rapes, assaults, thefts, sex offenders per capita, law enforcement employees per capita and more.
Financial safety included unemployment rates, underemployment rates, foreclosure rates, median credit scores, poverty rates, job security and numerous other factors.
Aurora was cited for its high ranking in “home and community safety.”
Chicago also made the list at no. 135
