Woman Accused of Offering Preteen Relative Up for Sex

Christina Sykora held on $1 million bond

An Aurora woman put her 7- or 8-year-old relative up for sex with a 68-year-old man, DuPage County prosecutors say.

Christina Sykora was ordered held on a $1 million bond, a judge ruled Tuesday, the Daily Herald reported.

The girl was staying at Sykora's parents home in an unincorporated area near Lombard when the attack occurred. Assistant State's Attorney Mike Pawl said the girl was later victimized repeatedly by Sabino Martinez, a handyman who often worked for Sykora's parents.

Martinez was arrested in August and charged with multiple counts of predatory sexual assault. Prosecutors say Martinez first requested sex with Sykora, but she refused and offered up her relative.

The rapes are believed to have accurred in 2004 or 2005, Pawl said.
