At Least 9 Hospitalized After Car Collides With Ambulance

A suburban ambulance crash has sent nine people to area hospitals, according to authorities.

The incident occurred in suburban Aurora at approximately 4:10 p.m., according to authorities. At the intersection of Galena and West, an ambulance with lights on and carrying a patient was T-boned by a minivan travelling southbound on West, police said.

A total of nine victims were sent to area hospitals, but no immediate update was available on any of the victims’ conditions.

Traffic at the intersection is currently shut down as police investigate, and Aurora Police are encouraging motorists to avoid the area.
