Au Cheval Closed for Nearly 3 Weeks in January

Longstanding Chicago favorite Au Cheval has closed its doors for nearly three weeks this month for what it says will be a "renovation."

The beloved upscale diner, home to what is considered one of the best burgers in America, will be closed until Jan. 17, according to its website

Though the restaurant said the closure is for "renovation," details on what that renovation entails remain a mystery.

For those looking to still dine on some of its famed cuisine, the restaurant is urging customers to instead visit Small Cheval, which serves a "stripped down" menu, along with its 3 Greens Market.
