Authorities say they didn't find anything suspicious on an American Airlines plane that was searched after landing at Kansas City International Airport.
FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said Friday that someone at Chicago's O'Hare Airport who missed Thursday night's flight said something that could "possibly be perceived as a threat." She says the plane was searched after landing as a precaution.
Flight 4222 from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport landed without incident at Kansas City International Airport just after 10 p.m. after crew members on board said a suitcase didn't match up with a passenger.
The plane was taken to a remote location of the airport upon landing, said KCI spokesman Joe McBride.
"Republic Airlines flight 4222, operating as American Eagle from Chicago to Kansas City, Missouri, was met by law enforcement and fire department personnel on arrival at Kansas City," the company said in a statement.
One passenger who said he was on the plane sent a tweet to NBC affiliate KSHB saying that passengers had to leave their belongings on the aircraft before boarding a bus heading for the terminal.
There were no reports of injuries to the 63 passengers or four crew members on board.
Chicago police spokesman Officer Mike Sullivan said no arrests had been made as Friday morning.
