We’re not worthy.
Chicago officials announced this week that legendary rocker Alice Cooper will open Millennium Park’s free showing of "Wayne's World."
Cooper will kick off the screening of the iconic film, which will start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, located at 201 E. Randolph St.
Cooper will introduce the film and discuss his memorable cameo before the screening, city officials said.
“Wayne’s World” stars Saturday Night Live alumni Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as two goofy musicians in Aurora, Illinois with their own cable access show. The movie, which originated as an SNL skit, is a 90s comedy classic with a special place in the heart of Illinoisians.
In the film, Cooper invites Wayne and Garth backstage after a concert where they grovel on their knees exclaiming “we’re not worthy!”
The film recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, and spawned a sequel that premiered in 1993.
