Aldi Store Reopenings Across Area to Feature Giveaways, New Products

Aldi will re-open three stores as part of an ambitious project to update 130 area stores

As part of a multi-billion dollar renovation project, Aldi will unveil three completely redesigned stores in the Chicago-area this week, and customers can take advantage of giveaways and new food products in the process.

The chain is re-opening stores in Bourbonnais, Blue Island, and one in Chicago in the 8300 block of South Cicero Avenue on Thursday.

The store will hold ribbon cuttings at each location at approximately 8:25 a.m., and will hold a “Golden Ticket” giveaway, where the first 100 customers through the doors will receive free gift cards.

Customers will also be eligible to enter a sweepstakes to win a year’s supply of produce from the grocery chain.

For customers that don’t win, they’ll have the opportunity to taste new Aldi produce and hot food products throughout the day.

A total of 130 Chicagoland stores will be refurbished and opened by the end of 2020 as part of the company’s ambitious project.
