Alderman Demands Better Signage After 2 Red Light Warnings

Chicago civilians aren't the only ones under the glare of the city's new red light cameras -- a South Side alderman has been caught twice.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Ald. Leslie Hairston (5th) introduced a resolution at the Chicago City Council this week asking for better signs after she received two warning notices.

The new cameras have been posted near city schools and parks.

The resolution, signed by 12 other aldermen, seeks "clear and distinctive" signs warning of the approaching red light cameras and/or striping, the newspaper reports.

Hairston voted against Mayor Rahm Emanuel's plan to install the cameras.
