A nursing home aide in Crystal Lake is accused of feeding the monkey on his back by licking drugs off the back of a patient.
Jeremiah J. Healless, 25, allegedly licked pain medication off the back of a 92-year-old resident at a nursing home, reports the Daily Herald.

Healless, a certified nurse's assistant, entered the room of a patient who was mentally and physically incapacitated. He then rolled her on her side and poked holes in her fentanyl patch with a safety pin, police explained.
Fentanyl is a strong painkiller that is often used to treat chronic breakthrough pain. It is approximately 100 times more potent than morphine.
Healless was caught on video squeezing the drug out of the patch's poked holes, wiping it up with his fingers, and then sticking his fingers in his mouth, according to the Sun-Times.
"How desperate can any human being be to victimize a defenseless 92-year-old Alzheimer patient," Crystal Lake Deputy Police Chief Eugene Lowery told the Daily Herald.
