Emergency crews in south suburban Riverdale were on the scene of what appeared to be a fatal workplace accident Wednesday afternoon.
It happened at Riverside Materials near 130th and State streets on the banks of the Cal-Sag River.
Crews were initially called in on an emergency response for a person who fell in a wood grinder, but the extrication was switched over to a body recovery effort.
Officials confirm the victim is a male.
There's no word on how the accident happened.
