Woman Stabbed in Shoulder on Red Line

The 17-year-old may have been involved in a fight on the train, police said

A teen was listed in good condition Thursday after police said she was stabbed Wednesday night on the CTA Red Line.

The 17-year-old girl may have been involved in a fight on the train, police said. As the train approached the Sox-35th stop just before 9:30 p.m., she was stabbed in the shoulder, according to police.

The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. The train was taken out of service and routed to the 95th Street station.

The teen was taken to Mercy Hospital where she was recovering Thursday.

Police continue to search for suspects.
